Poster Design Guidelines

• • Dimensions: your poster should be no more than 36" tall x 48" wide
  • Font: Make sure that you use large enough font sizes that your poster is readable from at least 5 feet away
    • You can find more guidance on poster design from the OSU Library
  • Colors: For figures and images, use color palettes that are easily visible to those with color vision deficiencies such as colorblindness
    • Additional guidance on colorblind-friendly color palettes 
    • Tool to verify the visibility of text colors on different colored backgrounds 
    • Test the accessibility of your color palette by uploading images or your full poster

Poster Printing

• • OSU-Stillwater students can utilize the Library's poster printing service

Poster Judging

• • Student poster presenters will have their posters scored by a panel of judges. Judges will focus on the appearance and content of the posters, so students do not need to be present at their posters while judges are evaluating them.
