Citizen Science and Open Access Water and Climate Data

Charles is a research meteorologist working at the University of Oklahoma and is also a local coordinator for the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, and Snow Network (CoCoRaHS for short). Charles joined CoCoRaHS as a county coordinator in Colorado when he was in 7th grade and has been involved with the project ever since. In 2015 he became the central Oklahoma CoCoRaHS coordinator where he helps to recruit new volunteers, manages network logistics, and performs data quality checks of precipitation data in Oklahoma.
