Making Open Science Work with FAIR Data

CADRE 2022

Session Information

Open Science is a high-minded concept that is actually hindered by many practical limitations. The vocabulary and practices in one discipline or sub-discipline may be incomprehensible in another and code and analysis may be useless even to the researcher who created it if it is not adequately documented.  In short, it is not enough to commit to sharing data.  Data must be made findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable (FAIR).  We will discuss each of the steps that make data FAIR and how they support the goal of open science.
