Cultivating Next-Generation Digital Skills for Advancing Convergence Research

Program | Speakers | Sponsors | Planning Committee

Session Information

The National Science Foundation describes convergence research as research that is driven by a specific and compelling problem and deep integration across disciplines (https://www.nsf.gov/od/oia/convergence/index.jsp). This integration is increasingly facilitated by digital tools and infrastructure which require a new set of skills and competencies on the part of researchers. This session is intended to showcase formal and informal mechanisms for supporting acquisition of these skills by researchers (faculty, staff and students) especially at the interface between disciplines.
