Building a Chatbot-Powered Fact-Checker using SIFT
This workshop, based on the work of Mike Caulfield and SIFT (Stop, Investigate the
source, Find better coverage, Trace claims to original context - a framework for digital
literacy and fact-checking), explores the use of Claude, ChatGPT or other tools for
building out a tool that can support critical fact-checking and information contextualization
as well as teaching students about information literacy skills.
