Introducing Data Analysis with Pipetters

Session Information

Students start biochemistry lab without experience in common biochemical techniques, recording data in a "tidy" format or analysis of data more complex than a linear trendline.  To introduce these techniques, a lab has been developed in which students practice pipetting water using different pipetters. The mass and other variables are recorded in a normal format using RMarkdown.  Linear models provide students with estimates of error and measures of statistical significance.  More sophisticated data analysis would be easily implemented.
