Kay Bjornen has a background in research and data that started with a PhD in analytical chemistry and a career as an analyst and researcher in the oil and gas industry. She developed an interest in data and information management and completed a master's degree in library and information studies at the University of Oklahoma. She is now the Research Data Initiatives Librarian at the Oklahoma State University Edmon Low Library.
